Developed from nearly 20 years of experience, ICE's project management practice has helped healthcare providers change the way they use technology. By applying a proven project management methodology, ICE has successfully implemented Healthcare Information Systems (HIS), Electronic Health Records (EHR), Computerized Physician Order Entry (CPOE), and Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) in healthcare organizations across the Midwest.
ICE's experienced project managers perform strategic planning, manage project goals, develop overall work plans, maintain project budgets, and remove internal political barriers to process improvement and organizational change.
ICE's Project Management Methodology follows four major phases:
The start-up phase defines the project's goals and objectives, specifies how goals will be achieved and what resources are required, and associates budgets and timelines for successful completion.
The objective of the planning phase is to translate the business ideas and intentions of the organization into a formal plan. Also in this phase, a series of project control procedures are established to maximize the probability of producing a high quality product within budget and on schedule.
The execution phase manages the project activities on a daily basis by invoking the control procedures, techniques and practices defined in the project management methodology. This includes monitoring and reporting project progress, managing project change, managing issue resolution, planning for subsequent project stages and ensuring the development of a successful implementation.
The objective of the close-down phase is to formally close the project by finalizing all project documentation, conducting final knowledge transfer, establishing the product support structure, and conducting project debriefing efforts.
