Un-complicating Healthcare IT

IT Shared Services Model FREE Webinar Recording

Aug 3, 2017 7:29:33 AM Posted by Jim Tufts | Leadership Solutions Team Lead

In light of the need for cost reduction, healthcare organizations will have to find ways to reduce some of their costs without sacrificing value or negatively impacting outcomes. IT costs will get their share of scrutiny, begging us to ask the question, “Is there a way to reduce the spend on IT without impacting technology use and performance?”hand drawing blank flow chart on new modern computer as concept.jpeg

ONE OPTION THAT CAN REDUCE THE COST OF TECHNOLOGY,  WHILE IMPROVING THE DELIVERY AND SUPPORT OF TECHNOLOGY IS THE SHARED SERVICES MODEL.

I recently recorded my presentation called, "IT Shared Services Model: What It Is and How It Works," because we want to share about this cost savings model that can benefit so many of the small to mid-size healthcare organizations out there today.

Just as an example, here are some results of this model implemented in two facilities so far included a $1.9M in IT savings over a 5-year period from:

  • Datacenter and infrastructure costs lowered by $150K
  • Labor costs reduced by $1.35M
  • Telecom costs lowered by $172K
  • Printer and print management costs reduced by $275K

Innovation will lead to more opportunities. There continues to be exploration on savings within infrastructure as a service, interfaces as a service, and IT as a service. ICE can bring all of the value of this shared services model concept to them.  We have created service packages that effectively facilitate this model.  Call us if you want to save money and improve performance!

In this session, you will learn more about the model and see some of the benefits this approach to IT can deliver. We hope you enjoy the webinar recording and will reach out if you have any questions or comments!
