Un-complicating Healthcare IT

Disaster Recovery

Aug 29, 2013 8:53:42 AM Posted by Jim Tufts | Leadership Solutions Team Lead

Disasters come in many forms in the digital age. While a tornado, flood or hurricane are important events to plan for, what if a sprinkler head pops over your main network closet? Would you be ready to respond? When disaster strikes in a healthcare IT system, it is imperative that you are fully prepared to act. It is crucial that you are able to maintain access to a patient’s health information in case of an HCIS misfortune. Not only is it important but in the end it is a required implementation specification of the HIPAA Security Rule.
